Shopify Inventory Management
Confidently run your business with Shopify inventory management capabilities that take your store to the next level.
Why Shopify Businesses Need An Inventory Management Software
Running a Shopify business doesn’t necessarily mean running a successful business. Stock-outs, poor cash flow, incorrect inventory data, and inefficient processes stunt small business growth. Shopify’s inventory management tool has basic inventory tracking features, but what happens when you’re ready to optimize and actually run a healthy business? That’s where Shopify inventory management apps come in.

Why Businesses Choose Thrive Inventory Shopify Inventory Management App

“We have a growing online business and product inventory that had way outgrown our method of spreadsheet management so were looking for software that would help with this.
We chose Thrive Inventory because it had a fairly straightforward user interface, allowed for bundling of products, integrated both with Shopify and our offline sales and provided powerful reporting tools. Very happy with this product so far.”

Can Thrive Inventory split stock, reporting, and catalog management between Shopify e-commerce and POS?
Yes. Each Shopify e-commerce website and POS location can have location-specific products and stock counts.
We currently offer an Inventory by Location report, which shows the Total Value, Potential Revenue, Potential Profit, and Quantity in Stock for each sales channel and location with one quick report. This report is ideal for a quick health check on where your inventory levels are and easily compares across multiple sales channels. Learn more about Thrive Inventory’s Reporting feature set here.
Is there an additional cost for the Shopify integration?
No. The Shopify integration is included in all Thrive Inventory monthly and annual plans.
Are product Bundles managed properly across both Thrive Inventory and Shopify?
Yes. Thrive Inventory will sync Bundles and their stock counts across all your locations.
Will my historical sales data appear in Thrive Inventory after I integrate?
When you first connect Shopify to Thrive Inventory, we will automatically pull your previous 90-days of Shopify sales in order to backfill your sales history.
Are there training and onboarding resources specific to Shopify accounts?
All of our Account Executives, Implementation Team members, and Customer Care representatives are highly trained in Thrive Inventory’s integration with Shopify and will offer Shopify-specific setup instructions for your business.
We also have an extensive email onboarding course, Thrive University video series, and Help Center articles with Shopify specific resources.
Does Thrive Inventory support Shopify split fulfillment?
Yes. Once all your inventory locations are mapped in Thrive Inventory, we will directly mirror what happens in Shopify to ensure accurate deductions/restocks across your fulfilling locations. For example, if you change the fulfillment location for an order in Shopify, Thrive Inventory will automatically mirror the inventory adjustment that happens on the Shopify side.
How does Thrive manage inventory for merchants with multiple Shopify POS locations and warehouses?
You can set up a Thrive Inventory location for each pool of stock you have for each part of your business, including a warehouse location, storefront location, and e-commerce location. Clone inventory from your sales channels to easily populate each location with new products.
Unfortunately, due to limitations with Shopify, there are not storefront location-specific product fields and reporting in Thrive Inventory.
Can Thrive transfer stock between Shopify locations?
Yes. You can initiate Internal Transfers by selecting the sending and receiving locations, then add products manually, by scanning barcodes (with Professional and up above), or automatically for items below reorder points. The system deducts quantities from the sending location and tracks the status of each transfer, allowing you to easily filter and view progress. Upon receiving inventory, scan or manually enter received quantities, with options to note discrepancies and download documentation for reporting or record-keeping.
